Report of Quarry noise ordinance and traffic violations increasing
The Alamance aggregates blast quarry is fraying the nerves of local residents, some reporting noise from 2 miles away, by operating loudly and disturbing the peace of its good neighbors outside of lawful operating hours under the noise ordinance. Reports also indicate that this is happening sometimes until midnight during the week, and very early on Saturday and Sunday mornings. This scofflaw behavior is not acceptable!
Alamance County’s noise ordinance for Heavy Industry allows heavy industry operation hours between 7AM-5PM, Monday through Friday.

Report violations of the noise ordinance to the Alamance County Sheriff’s Department by calling 911.
