Jenefer Duane
Founder and Chief Strategist
Jenefer has worked in and with non-profit organizations for 35 years. In 2001 she founded the Elder Financial Protection Network (EFPN) in California. In 2011 she was appointed to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) in Washington, DC where she leads the Elder Fraud Prevention and Response Network program. She led the development and national distribution of the Money Smart for Older Adults program curriculum for the past nine years.
In 2004, the California Attorney General presented her with an award for Outstanding Service in Elder Abuse Prevention. In 2009 she was presented with the FDIC’s 75th Anniversary Chairman’s Award for Excellence and Innovation in Financial Education. In 2019 the Money Smart for Older Adults program was presented with the American Society on Aging award for Excellence in Training and Education for Older Adults. Also, in 2019, Ms. Duane was presented with the CFPB Director’s Mission Achievement Award for her leadership of the Elder Fraud Prevention and Response Network program.
She is a retired volunteer firefighter/EMT serving on the board of the Two Rock Volunteer Fire Department in California. She discovered Snow Camp in 2012 and moved here in 2013. Her husband Ron followed in 2015 and they’ve never looked back.
Linda Lee is a native to Snow Camp, attended Sylvan Elementary School and graduated from Southern Alamance in 1985.

After her high school graduation, she volunteered for the United States Airforce and was stationed in Germany as an aircraft mechanic on F-4 fighter aircraft. After her discharge she was a stay-at-home mother running an in-home certified daycare at Vandenberg Air Force Base in California before returning to Snow Camp to raise her family. Linda worked full time in a textile mill and attended Alamance Community College full time to obtain her Associate Degree in Arts in 2003. Linda transferred to UNCG and received a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology in 2005.
During her time as a student, she interned at a non-profit Sanctuary House. This program worked with assisting people living with severe mental illness to remain in their community. After her graduation she was employed by Sanctuary House in which her duties included assisting with community outreach, fundraising events and program development. In 2006, Linda was hired at Psychotherapeutic Services, Together House Program, as an Employment Specialist which worked with clients to obtain gainful employment while coping with mental illness. Her responsibilities were community outreach, education of our program, and program development. In 2009, she received a promotion of the Together House Program as Program Coordinator in 2009. Some of her responsibilities included community outreach, program development, budget planning, clinical supervision, public education of Together House Program. During this time Linda also obtained her master’s in science for Mental Health Counseling in 2015. Afterwards Linda received another promotion to Mobile Crisis Coordinator in which she assisted with community outreach, increasing community awareness about mental illness. In 2019, Linda worked as an outpatient therapist until March of 2020.
After 15 years in the mental health field and overcoming cancer, Linda chose to pursue other opportunities in her community and started a small business for specialty painting and furniture repair.
Ron Spinhoven – Treasurer
Kathryn was born in South Carolina, raised in North Carolina, and has settled down with her family in Snow Camp.
